Walk-in Counselling Clinic

The Walk-In Counselling Clinic offers confidential, single-session counselling services on a first come, first served basis.  When clients arrive, we aim to have them seen as quickly as possible.  Please feel free to call in ahead of time to book a slot with the Walk-In Counselling Clinic to prevent being unable to be seen on the day you walk in. Counselling sessions are approximately 1 hour in length.  The focus of the session is determined by each client’s unique needs.  Whether coping with a stressful situation or looking for an understanding and non-judgmental ear, our therapists are trained to help clients address what is most important to them. Our experienced therapists help clients identify issues, recognize and build on their own strengths and abilities, and where appropriate help them develop strategies to address their concerns.  

Focusing on an individual’s strengths, we offer professional counselling services to assist with a wide variety of issues that may include, but are not limited to:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Relationship issues
  • Mental health concerns
  • Domestic violence/intimate partner violence or sexual abuse
  • Adjusting to life in Canada
  • Alcohol and drug use
  • Anger management
  • Family conflict/transitions
  • Other life challenges/concerns
  • Parenting sexuality/intimacy
  • Gender identity and gender sexuality
  • Self-esteem/self-image
  • Personal or job-related stress
  • Trauma
  • Separation and loss

Eligibility:

The Walk-In Counselling Clinic provides immediate counselling services to individuals, couples and families. Please feel free to call ahead to book a slot, walk-ins may not be seen on the day but will be booked into available slots.

Referral Process:

No referral is required for the Walk-In Counselling Clinic.  You will be assisted on a first come, first served basis during our Walk-In Counseling Clinic hours, every Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. (last session at 6:30 p.m.).
